Hi Everyone
Thanks to all who have joined the group. Apologies for taking so long to say hello, but for some reason I couldn't get in and so was unable to post!
I am hoping that this group will be a dynamic and interesting place to discuss and enjoy the photographic arts. I called it that rather than 'photography' because I really do feel that it is an art! The origin of the word photography (Phos) (graphis) means to draw with light, and that seems to me to embody it perfectly.
I am a photographer and lecturer in photography. I am very interested in alternative processes and like working with cyanotypes etc. and am always exploring ways of working with images. I use anything from a pinhole camera to a whole plate Deardorff, digital, film and even paper negatives.
Hope that we can have some good discussions here and look forward to meeting my fellow photographic artists soon!

Dear Kitty I have just found your group - I am new here and trying to understand how everything works. but I would like to invite you and all your members, to have a look at my rather different form of photography.
I invented my own technique of 'Painting with Light' in the early 1960's (long before anyone had computers). Now that I find myself aged 70, I believe that many of my pictures have stood the test of time rather well and so I have decided to sell limited editions of just 8 (although the sizes can vary, there will not be more than 8 sold of each picture).
I have been working with digital images, since I retired, to create more works (often based on my earlier pictures) and without using fractals I have also made some abstract studies from my original photographs.
