First I'd like to explain why I'm asking you to respond to the following questionnaire. I use to write about artists' concerns without being an artist myself. As a result I have to rely on whatever I hear and read. That's why I need your comments to verify this second-hand knowledge. I already gained a great deal of information so far which frequently contradicts some of the truisms floating about. Hence you're my primary source and I'd very much appreciate if you'd take the time to reply to the following questions. It's about the Internet's role as a marketing tool for artists.

1. How many images of works of art do you look at at a time generally (just one, a few, many)?
2. Do you inspect an single piece longer, as long or shorter compared to facing it offline?
3. Do reproductions on a screen represent the respective object properly?
4. Did you ever see three-dimensional art like sculpture or an installation as a three-dimensional animation on an artist's homepage?
5. How often do you find pricemarks of artworks online (frequently, rarely, never)?
6. Are your own prices visible online?
7. Do you know or have you heard of collectors buying online?
8. Do you know any platforms or networks on the Internet where artists present and/or sell work? 8.1. Which ones?
9. Do you think their usually great variety – also in terms of quality - is positive or negative?
10. Can you think of something the Internet should provide in order to make it easier for artists to present their work?

Please answer right here or in case you prefer privacy send an email to Charlotte.Lindenberg@gmail.com.
Thank you in advance.

Was Deco minimal? Less is more . Whilst at college Camberwell I did an Installation called Environment on the Environment it was very cluttered with packaging , a crushed tin cube borrowed from recycling depot with fossilised plastic a la Morandi . It duly became more minimal with one lilt bottle hanging and a bag of coal scattered a la Duchamp . Eventually it became tiny photos fitted into construction bars crossing a corner entitled "For those whose site [ sight] is not clear! "These can be seen in my space under my name .

Busy Is As Busy Does...

Well, I've not been here for some time because I've been BUSY! Yes. The latest on the Fringe Front is that we have launched a twitter feed @thetruepattern which you should follow if you're interested in what unfolds with that whole affair. I don't run it, I just supply some of the info to the tweet master. In addition, we have a myspace page which is serving as a…See More
