This sounds like an incredible opportunity, thanks for this information Raszyk. I would really like to move to Berlin in the spring on 2009 and was looking for a work/live space. I had found another residency programme but there they were asking the artists to pay 500euros per month which sounded extremely expensive for Berlin..
I am a photographer. And although I do most of my work digitally I would really like to get back into film. Would you guys at culturia be able to offer any advice on were to find dark rooms for developing photos?
Thanks x

I am 35... no career (just did few exhibitions, cos Japanese art world is still close.), i really would like to try this kinda thing.(now im trying looking for!)

do you know this kinda residency, even 35years old?

Raszyk its no problem, I was more concerned with actually getting to the end of your interesting blog only to find I was too old ha ha you should of started with it so I didnt have to waste 5 minutes of my life!!!
I will be moving to Berlin in 2010, I already have a studio share to start me off and a place to live from one of my collectors but it may still be interesting to try and get to berlin for a couple of months through projects like yourself before I move for good?
Good luck with it all
Rich

Mike, Rochard: there is no ageism in the artworld.
Just organisations with different profiles.
Check this one for exampel, they have quite good offer: http://www.glogauer.net/index.htm
For more info about artworld and art opportunities in Berlin go to:

If you need any further information about the subject I will be glad to answer it or to find some contacts who can be a further help for you.

Hi,
I have to agree with that what Richard wrote. But culturia can make some exception from under mentioned rule. It all depends of the quality of the project and amount of the available rooms in that moment. It's also important to know that room costs there 115 euro/month and studio 5euro/sqm/month (studios are between 13 -30 sqm). If you have good project description ready/project management timeline/updated cv/online portfolio/ just send it.

Yeah I agree, looked at Raszyk peice and thought it interesting then got to the end where it states that old fogies need not apply!! It really annoys me this the whole idea that being young and hip stops at 30. Im 35, and all the artists I know of any interest are over 30 and they are still looking for opportunities like this. When you are 18 you can get the money to do this off your mother!
