Art Show Cannes - HEP 2010

"It is with pleasure that I announce that HEP has been selected to participate in "Art Show Cannes" during the Cannes Film Festival May 15-18, 2010.
The General Manager of the show, Christian Pouligo has graciously invited me as guest curator to present a one hour selection of your works to this exciting event that will begin in Cannes and later (once final details are confirmed) move to Toronto in September 2010 and Dubai in December 2010.

The Art show is an international contemporary art fair featuring photography and Art Video. Included in the show is an "Art Video International Film Festival" (AVIFF) which you are all invited to participate in. Artists who participate in the film festival will compete for awards created by Gian Paolo Maria, Paris, France.

The Art Show takes advantage of the Cannes Film Festival, drawing collectors and curators who are in town to enjoy the festivities and who are personally invited to private tours of the show. The Art Show is a separate event from the Film Festival bridging the gap between Contemporary Art and Cinema. This is the third year for the Art Show which will be located in a prestigious location on La Croisette (soon to be confirmed).

For more information about the show, please visit www.artshow-cannes.com and stay tuned for selection details and more exciting news as the show's program develops. Below you can see a promotional video for Art Show Cannes from youtube. "

Everyone please note that what I am announcing is our participating as a guest in the Art Show Cannes. Inside the show is a competitive festival as well that you are all weclome to go for but there is a 20$ fee to participate and submit individual works. As a HEP selection we will not be subject to any fees but should you wish to enter the contest as an idividual artist you are subject to the fees. Please let me know if you have any quesitons debbie@block.es. You can also email if you are interested and I'll send you the forms for the contest. As soon as we can figure out how to post a downloadable file we will...

Please also remember that I will be making a selection for this HEP invitational. I will announce my selection results within two weeks. Because we will also be going to Dubai I cannot choose works with nudity in them (sorry!). I am also trying to select works that are on the shorter side to get as many of you in there as I can. Aside from that I have my own criteria of needing to "feel" the emotional pull of your works. After all, we are the Human Emotion Project right? : )

Hi everyone. Here are the two forms for entering as individuals in the AVIFF contest. This is open to anyone. I'm just posting this here to help Christian get the word out. I will be announcing my selection for the group HEP showing within the Art Show very soon. Anyone not selected is welcome to enter their work, and if you are selected, then of course you are welcome to submit a different work.

Please let me know if you have any questions.
Debbie
