NOISE Festival 2008, the Europe-wide media showcase for young creative people aged 25 and under is NOW open for submissions. Alongside our Open Call for submissions we’d like you to submit your film to the ‘NOISE Guerrilla Reportage’ project in conjunction with the BBC. The deadline is looming, so read on how you can get involved….
NOISEfestival.com is searching for the unheard voices of young creative people in the UK and Europe.
‘NOISE Guerrilla Reportage’ wants to see creative ways of documenting your sub-culture. Subjects could include portraits of your friends, yourself, or a tour around your creative space, to how you survive as a creative outsider in your community or how you keep your culture alive. NOISE Guerrilla Reporters can also try hard-hitting issues, covering young people whose voices are not heard by the mainstream media.
Here‘s your opportunity to be a Guerrilla Reporter for your generation, your culture, your way of life and to champion your vision.
What do you get?
• During the October showcase, the best pieces of work will be showcased via NOISE media partners across the UK and Europe. (All Ages up to 25)
• The opportunity to develop and get your piece aired nationally & internationally on either television, radio, online or in magazines (All ages up to 25)
• Get the chance to be mentored by your local BBC station (18-25 years, UK only)
• NOISE ‘Dream Job’ placements in leading media companies such as BBC, Film24, etc (18-25 years, UK only)
• Prize of £1,000 worth of creative equipment of your choice for entries that explore local roots, heritage and identity - where you come from, who you are, and what it means for your future. Visit

How do you enter?
You can submit stories using: words, illustration, blogs, mobile phone pics/clips, photos, film/video, podcasts or animation.
Audio/visual pieces should be no more than 3 minutes long. Word and photography can be submitted as blogs, articles or photo-stories of not more than 3 pages.
