Butterfly Wings
Therapeutic Painting Workshop

Discover, understand and impress
yourself with your own original oil paintings

Through the study of Neuro Linguistic Programming - NLP (Master Practitioner)
and Time Line Therapy (Practitioner) and Fine Art (Dip. in Painting)
Alan Murray has fused together his knowledge and skills to create a Painting Workshop that is a
therapeutic experience. The workshop provides an enjoyable opportunity for the participants to
get in touch with their inner self, while exploring the medium and process of oil painting.
Discovering many new and exciting things about themselves, they will have the freedom to create a real positive change in their lives.
The workshop uses NLP techniques and adapts the process of Time Line TherapyÔ so you can express yourself through your Art. By uncovering the negative emotions and limiting decisions that we all have built up over the years from our previous experiences in life we can then begin the process of lightening the load of unwanted baggage. The participants paint their way through their unique Time Line. While they are there they can clear all negative emotions, shine a bit of love on their past and paint themselves a more vibrant future. The workshop is structured to help people become more open and motivated. It encourages them to help themselves with any issues and help achieve their goals.
The process gives the individual the opportunity to create a number of images on canvas.
Representations of their unique model of the world - past, present and future. This powerful
imagery may be abstract to another however to the painter it is full of private details, thoughts
and emotions represented by their choice of colour and symbols. By physically painting this imagery and emotionally clearing the stuff using NLP and Time Line TherapyÔ techniques the imagery will be enriched, as you choose a more positive outlook for your future. With new learning, comes new conscious decisions, and smart goals. This creates a more focused self-fulfilling map of potential, positively changing aspects of your life for that brighter future you deserve.

This workshop is a full day from 10 - 6 and will be run in Moycullen, co. Galway .
One to One session with all equipment and materials are provided, at a cost of 120 Euro.

To book your place Contact Alan Murray 086 8372135 / 091 556557

The workshop can also be provided in an alternative location and adapted to suit a particular groups needs or facilitated in your own home, on a one to one basis for private clients.

... both ways must be, both directions ... thank you, Alexander Ekaterina, for adding this comment on 27. february, day of my birthday :) ! The only thing, what can heal art as a projected world, is heart, not head, but we know it - it is a happy work for us, our generation :)

I have recently completed writing a book that will be published in August this year which is called 'Love and Its Disappointment: The meaning of life, therapy and art'. In this book I argue that art can be therapeutic both for the artist and for the audience in that it alters the manner in which one esteems things and thus changes what we love. We are all motivated to love but our love is often frustrated in life. Sometimes we become dulled and lose esteem for the world around us. At can restore such esteem. There are thus different sorts of art, or, perhaps, degrees of art. Simple art reminds us that something is beautiful. Deeper art shows us the beauty in something we did not realise was beautiful. While creating art one struggles with the qualities of the object through the properties of the materials. One find that there are many different kinds of beauty (and therefore of love) some of which one did not know about before. I do not know what you think about these ideas, but I had some stisfaction in exploring and developing them because they seemed to tally with my own experience.

Art heals, inspires and transforms us. For me it is a thread that connects us to each other and to the divine. Without art, the suffering and pain of the world would be unbearable.

Art is the healer for all hearts. I have released so much pain and joy through my works and its my work that has made my heart much stronger. Art is like a spider plan in a poem, it is so infinitive in every direction it moves. Art is my life, my soul and my best friend. Thank you Art.

Painting helps me attain the status of 'Zen' which is a Buddhist philosophy, that is live every moment of your life as it is eternity, there is no beginning and no end. When I finish a painting, I feel content and happy, when I am jat my painting, I forget that time is running, I forget all regrets for the past and I have no frets for the future. The actual moment is perfect!

Art does not only heal the heart, if you are a true artist it is the heart. A creative soul cannot live without art the same way the body cannot live without food! Art replenishes and revitalizes ones self and when there is a lack of creative expression in one;s life there is also a void that cannot be explained. Always create!!!!

Doubt if art is really healing, but probably therapeutic. I sound pedantic, sorry; but it is of the mind rather than heart. But if poetic perhaps it is of the 'soul' and the Poetry of Being. Anyway thanks for asking me to join - probably want to chuck me out now. Kind regards, Hugh Thomas
