oh i have used this ivana, it is what the kiln elements are made from. it does bend slightly, but stays inside. Its called nichrome wire. if you cant get it there, i can give u address,

dear jan and makoto - got a question for you: i would like to make very thin and tall forms, which would require metal wires inside. so what kind of metal should i use for high temperature firing (stoneware and porcelain)? thanks, i.

Hi Makoto, One techinique I would like to try is , a wood burning kiln, I aim to build one later this year, dont know much about them, have only used, electric, gas, raku etc.... any tips?
