The 5th International Painting Biennial of the Islamic World

After holding four courses of Painting Biennial of the Islamic World, the Islamic Republic of Iran's Academy of Art is about to hold the fifth International Contemporary Painting Biennial of the Islamic World in line with its research and artistic programs for Contemporary Arts of Islamic World.

Jury
It is comprised of Iranian and Foreign artists.

Entry rules
1- All designers across Islamic World countries and Muslim designers from all around the world are free to participate.
2- Subject and technique will be free.
3- Any artist will be allowed to enter a maximum of three works to secretary of the Biennial.
4- The works presented should be dated after June 19th , 2006.
5- Pictures of the works should be sent as either 300 dpi digitized files of approximately 10 x 15 cm ( jpg format) on compact disc (CD).
6- The largest side of each work, should not exceed 200 cm and the smallest side should not be less than 50 cm.
7- The artists whose works are selected will be invited to forward their originals to the secretariat of the exhibition in view of a final selection and their eventual participation in the exhibition.
8- The label of the works should be stuck back of the work on the right top of the page.
9-The works which are received after deadline, the works without participation form and the damaged works will not be introduced to the Selection Board.
10- The CD submitted will not be returned.
11- Celebrator will be entitled to publish the pictures submitted for publicity purposes.
12- Catalogue of the exhibition and the certificate of participation will be presented to works owners.
13- Submitting works means rules acceptance and decision making regarding unpredicted issues will be on secretariat of the Biennial.

Prizes
- A commemorative statuette, a plaque of honor of the Iranian Academy of Art and 1500 € (Euros) for one selected Iranian and one Foreign artist.
- A commemorative statuette, a plaque of honor of the Iranian Academy of Art and equal to 1000 € (Euros) for one selected Iranian and one Foreign artist.
- A commemorative statuette, a plaque of honor of the Iranian Academy of Art and equal to 750 € (Euros) for one selected Iranian and one Foreign artist.
