FIGUREART

Hello

Welcome to FIGURE ART.

I would like to know more about your work and upcoming exhibitions to feature on FIGURE ART.
The new social networking site for the all artist. It would be great if you signed up with FIGURE ART.
Once in awhile Figureart will collaborate with it's members for a run up Exhibition within London and the surrounding area.
You can post artwork, blogs, videos and audio... and the best of it we can put on the homepage.

Looking forward to seeing you and your work on FIGUREART!

THANK.

EMMANUEL

Love your painting of actress from 1940s . Beautiful. I can tell she is from 1940s NO UGLY TATTOOS all over her   arm and neck.--2011.     Someone should do a series of paintings of women called  THE UGLIFICATION OF BEAUTIFUL WOMAN. Tattoo-You !

Just finished"Pinups of History" a collection of 12 paintings featuring twenty-first century fox actresses from the late 1940s. Each actress is posing as a different historical icon. The paintings of these historical icons explore the idea of femininity, popular culture and iconography. I have purposefully selected original source material from the 1940s because the romantic idealism and the ironic innocence of these pinups is appealing to me in light of contemporary society.
